I’m learning MassFX in my Particle Effects class. And it makes me think of all the time I spent in my animation class last semester making my bouncy balls bounce by hand. Its pretty easy stuff. Heres something I modeled for the first project. My professor is letting me model stuff like this, which is awesome! The woman who is the department head that I have for 3 classes is not, though, which is alright but I LOVE DOING THIIIIS!
STICKY BAMBS! I tried to flatten the sphere out and just draw on it all, but it wouldnt let me flatten the bottom row of polys, which is why the bottom row looks kind of weird. Still fun and simple though! I’m not worrying about if its simple or not anymore cause of school. I should really start working on school stuff now…
Predatory Instincts. I wish this hat existed in real life. It probably does actually! I wonder if it increases your speed whenever you get a critical hit though…
School is about to consume me. I already have fairly extensive homework in my Animation classes sooooo we’ll see how it goes. At least I can upload what I work on. I’m going to ask my professors if I can do things like this for my projects.
The Toxic Worm, an item made after Acrids own heart. His goopy, slimy, poison heart. I was a little lazy with this one with the texture mainly cause I’m stressed for time. But I still like it a lot. I like how I did the slime and the colors.
Another really cool looking item that I never really get: The Plasma Chain. It just latches onto one enemy and does damage over time and compared to other red items, its just not that good. Still, very cool looking and something that would be handy in any kind of situation =D
I finally dug up my old hard drive with lots of old Flash stuff on it! Here is one of the things that I really liked a lot that I did. This was right after I beat Earthbound for the first time. I touched up the color in Photoshop a bit, kind of hahaha.
I didn’t really get a chance to make anything today, so here is the Rock Golem from my Animation Final. I really do like the rendering settings I’ve been doing for the pixel models so I decided to do that for this as well. The textures are high-res textures though so it looks a little crappy from exporting the photoshop animation. Like its supposed to be 16 colors hahaha.
Here’s the first Robot Master! Well not the first in order in the games but the first I’ve modeled! It was very interesting to make. I started with the body, then did the arms, then the hips and legs, then the head. There were plenty of weird hiccups but overall I’m pleased with it. I wanted to do some kind of pose but just stuck with him standing. Next time will be better and more interesting.
